It's pretty bizarre really, that so quickly after starting a 'Sad' chapter of DotX I'd end up feeling so similarly to Speedy here! The passing of Mr Iwata has left me emotionally exhausted. Having just filmed an episode of SkyJam dedicated to his memory, I'm ready to keep moving forward.

The Iwata memorial episode of SkyJam will release this Saturday at noon! It'd mean a lot to me if you'd give it a look : )

But for now, back to the comic! Somehow through all my mourning I've still ended up ahead, and have just finished the next page! ^_^

Let's lighten things up, eh? Here's something completely different.
Recently I've been talking to Heartless about maps! Now, the map of Hetrea that I currently use for all my creative projects (DotX and otherwise) is about 7 years old- It's time for me to make a new, more thorough one! That got me thinking...

How do you all picture the world presented to you in DotX?
Like, if you were to draw a map of every location in the comic, where would everything be in relation to each other? This is something I'm super curious about, So it'll be my question to you for this page! (Maps of any quality will net you some figurative BONUS POINTS!)

Well, with a little bit of thinking I predicted that throughout the neighborhood of all the characters, there are no streets. Looking in the perspective of pudding's house Speedy's house right in front of hers. The end of their neighborhood ends towards the right, about 4 or 5 houses away, at Frisky's house. Gell's house would be 1 house to the left of Pudding's and then beside that Fade's house. Right in front of Fade's house is Clones house, and in between Clones and Speedy's house is Audrey's house.
I'll make another comment later.

I made a pretty rough representation of how I think everything is in relativity to everything else. If my computer was working, I probably could have made it more detailed. This honestly didn't take too long to make, but either way, I didn't want to have anything too specific anyway. Anyway, here's the link. I'll try to make sure it works.

Looks like you have to copy and paste the url into the url bar, but otherwise it works.

We can assume that the neighborhood has to allow all of the characters walking distance between houses, due to frequently seeing each other and never seeing any vehicles besides Miles inventions. We also know that Fade took the others into the forest to disassemble his house for the tree house. We can assume that Friskys castle is nearby the neighborhood, due to Miles never clearly using a vehicle to drive/fly them there, so they must have walked. We know that the city is of substantial size, due to being filled with what seems to be primarily skyscrapers, which tend to be saved for richer and more economically well-off areas, and Miles flew over it to get to Time Mountain, which we can assume is the quickest path. Speedy and Co. took the long way around due to the city being huge and presumably dangerous (falling pianos, y'know.) so they ended up taking a boat, as it would be quicker than walking. They (thankfully) wash up ashore, and Time Mountain isn't too far from there.

That was long.

Thank you all so much for your responses!!! ^_^

I regards to the streets, you nailed it!~ I'm glad someone's picked up on that! (At most, sometimes I'll discolor the grass to represent a path of sorts.)
As for the neighborhood as a whole, I must be honest and say that I never REALLY went into too much detail in regards to where some houses are located. However, I can tell you the following:
1) The Mobius Suburbs are larger than you give them credit for! Frisky's house is a significant distance away on foot.
2) You're correct about Speedy and Pudding's houses being right next to each other!
3)...They are however, the only characters to have this happen! Nobody else is neighbors with the other characters in the comic- Maybe that's why they tend to congregate around Pudding's front lawn!

(I don't mean to shoot your comment down by saying all this... I know there's no way to know it going off what I've shown in the comic thus far!) >_<

Ah yes, Goo's timing is impeccable.
I haven't seen Roger Rabbit since I was a child! I remember loving it, although it terrified me at points... I should find it again and see if I'm still afraid of it!

@Darth Escar:
Wow! Simple as it may be, you've laid things out with the same orientation I do! (By that I mean having Time Mountain in the north, the neighborhood in the south, etc) And everything is generally in the right place! Nicely done! I like the confusion regarding Hurricane's home. Maybe you're onto something????

Nice!! I love the little stylistic touches you took here! Time mountain in particular stands out to me- And the size of Frisky's castle really made me giggle! : P

Looking at the reasoning you've written up, I must say I'm impressed by the level of observation you've got going on here! In fact, the only thing I'd say is even the littlest bit off is that Fade took them OUT of the forest (Where they were building the treehouse) INTO the suburbs, (Where his house was!)
Seriously though, all top notch other than that! Especially noticing the lack of vehicles! I don't think it'll ever come up in the comic, so I might as well mention here that cars are just not a think on Hetrea! (Hence the no roads, as mentioned earlier!)

Overall, I'm super impressed with everyone!! Thank you all for taking the time to indulge me in this! :3
