The design of the skygem has changed quite a lot since this chapter was being planned out. You can even see one of its later designs behind Fade in the last panel of the page! In the end I opted for a more 'natural' look- As if it could've broken off from a larger chunk.

By the way, this is still a Goo chapter! ...She's still there on the other side of Zeda. The focus will return to her before we end this chapter.

(BTW, I'm taking a break from the ToA development screenshots. I haven't had a ton of time to work on it, and it's going to be a long time before it's finished! Longer than I originally hoped.)
